Join us for the 2009 International Association of Piano Builders and Technicians convention, to be held in Brisbane, Queensland - Australia’s sunshine state. This convention is to be held in conjunction with the Australasian Piano Tuners and Technician Association’s Convention.
The convention boasts countless lectures and seminars on all technical aspects of pianos from basic repairs, tuning and voicing to major rebuilds. Engage in discussions on problems and new ideas whilst enjoying the many piano displays. Browse through the tools and piano materials that will be on sale. Interpreters will be on hand during the IAPBT meetings and seminars for those who require this service.
Bring the family and they can enjoy Brisbane’s galleries, museums, wildlife parks, markets, shopping and fine local cuisine. Delight in our new “Wheel of Brisbane” and other such landmarks as the StoryBridge, Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary and Steve Irwin’s Australia Zoo; even Supernatural spooky tours are on offer. Brisbane is rich in natural beauty, so you can explore our river, bay, parklands, forests and mountains. Calling all Piano Tuners from the north, south, east and west.Join us in the ‘Land Down Under’, Queensland, Australia, for the 16th International Association of Piano Builders and Tuners Convention 2009.This Convention will be held in conjunction with the Australasian Piano Tuners and Technician Association’s Convention.
2009 is a big year with Queensland turning 150 years old and 300 years since Bartolomeo Cristofori builds the first piano.
